about suzanne

Suzanne grew up in Fairfield County, Connecticut where she was a competitive swimmer from the age of 7 through varsity swimming in high school. She attended college at the University of Vermont as a Nutrition major with a Fine Arts minor. As a student, she quickly developed an interest in working with eating disorders on campus, and was involved in many campus counseling and prevention activities.

After college, Suzanne began counseling clients in eating disorders and nutrition at The Wilkins Center for Eating Disorders in Greenwich, CT, where she worked for over 10 years. During this time she completed a three year internship at Greenwich Hospital and earned a Masters in Nutrition at the New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY. Her experience and relationships developed in the community encouraged her to open her own office in Wilton, CT in 1991 and has been practicing in the area ever since.

Suzanne has been highly involved in local high schools for lectures and consultations. She was the school nutritionist at the Taft School in Watertown, CT for seven years, and consulted several other boarding schools in CT including Westover School and The Gunnery. She provided general nutrition counseling with an emphasis on sports nutrition in these highly competitive environments. Her experience in eating disorders was an asset as well.

In her free time, Suzanne is an avid gardener, photographer, and ceramic artist. Sports activities include kayaking, swimming, spinning and landscaping locally. She is also an advanced scuba diver and will be heading to Bonaire in March 2007.
